HUNTING HUMOR

A group of friends went deer hunting and paired off in two's for the day. That night one of the hunters returned alone, staggering under the weight of an eight point buck.  "Where's Henry?"

"Henry had a stroke of some kind. He's a couple of miles back up the trail."

"You left Henry laying out there and carried the deer back!"

"A tough call," nodded the hunter, "but I figured no one is going to steal Henry."

A father and son went hunting together for the first time. The father said, "Stay here and be very QUIET. I'll be across the field."

A few minutes later, the father heard a bloodcurdling scream and ran back to his son. "What's wrong?" the father asked. "I told you to be quiet."

The son answered, "Look, I was quiet when the snake slithered across my feet. I was quiet when the bear breathed down my neck. I didn't move a muscle when the skunk climbed over my shoulder. I closed my eyes and held my breath when the wasp stung me. I didn't cough when I swallowed the gnat. I didn't cuss or scratch when the poison oak started itching. But when the two chipmunks crawled up my pant legs and said, 'Should we eat them here or take them with us?' Well, I guess I just panicked."

White Tail / Mule Deer Combo - Rifle
This hunt takes place on private land along the edges of the Cypress Hills Provincial Park. The park holds a large number of mature mule deer and white tail making our hunts very successful.

Rifle/Bow Combo - White Tail and Mule Deer
4 days bow hunting and 3 days rifle. Whatever you miss with a bow you can go after with a rifle.

White Tail Only - Rifle
Recently the demand for white tail hunts has enabled us to admit 6 white tail only hunters per year. The hunts are around the Cypress Hills area.

Bowhunts
Great Plains has been very successful at making trophy animals with bow over the last nine years. We offer bowhunts for white tail, mule deer and antelopes.

Bird Hunting
Great Plains Outfitters has long been a home to upland and waterfowl hunters. The month of October offers excellent opportunities for ducks, geese, grouse, partridge and pheasant.

Fishing
Fishing for sturgeon up to 80 pounds, as well as trophy pike and walleye.
